Dutch Prime Minister Dick Schoof has announced a new package of support for Ukraine worth more than €200 million.
He made the announcement during his visit to Zaporizhzhia, his first visit to Ukraine as prime minister, Babel reports.
The package is aimed at protecting and repairing energy infrastructure and includes additional funding for humanitarian aid.
We have to do everything we can to help Ukraine continue to move forward. Not only on the front line, but also in the everyday lives of people. That is why the Netherlands is providing a new significant support package, – Schoof said.
According to Schoof, during his visit to Zaporizhzhia, he assured that Ukraine can count on further support from the Netherlands. The prime minister also said he admired the city’s residents who continue to live several dozen kilometers from the front.
The Netherlands supports Ukraine in its defense against a full-scale Russian invasion. The Netherlands recently allocated €60 million for the purchase of drones, contributed €400 million to a fund for the construction of CV90 infantry fighting vehicles for Ukraine, and provided many other forms of assistance.
